With the engine light on, the glow plug light would not come on at all after it set the code. There were other codes for the glow plug circuits, but I only concentrated on the main code (U0106 -lost communication with glow plug control module). I used my Snap On Solus Pro scanner and was able to check the code and operation of the control module.The issues started getting worse again. Right up until the engine limped and threw a P0090 code that will not clear. I did not get any other codes. No low or high rail pressures. I have battery + voltage on the the purple wire going to the FPR seems like 2.5 volts across the purple/yellow wires. Have a 04 LLY Duramax that I cannot get too start up. I replaced the fuel filter housing as well and it primes up good and hard. The only code I'm getting is a p0090 something with the fuel pressure regulator.It is fixed!! 03 duramax crew cab LB7.. No mods on truck and a little over 60k on the clock. After several trips to the dealer and this past week in the shop the problem is fixed. I had brought my truck to the dealer for a hard start (crank no fire) and an extended start issue. He said it started having a high and low idle. then he shut it off. It sat overnight and will not restart now. I have had him check all his wiring from the ecm to the FICM. Hi I Have a 06 Duramax and the code p0090 popped up so i replaced the Fuel pressure regulator and that didnt fix the problem, but while i was in there i seen the wiring harness for the fuel pressure regulator had a little cut in it so i replaced that hoping that would solver the problem but it didnt.I believe there is a procedure for reset and relearn.
