You can get a passing step 1 without studying, but you aren't getting a 260 without studying a ton. If you're doing jack shit in class and getting a good score on step, then you spend hours and hours outside doing sketchy, Uworld, anki, etc. MCAT you can absolutely get >90th percentile without studying.

In my experience, UW is considerably more challenging than NBME. My UW 46 question random blocks are anywhere from mid 50's to low 80s. Lately I would say that I have been averaging around the low 70's with the occasional drop into the 50's. Uworld is excellent. I don't work for them lol but I've tried it. Also I'm 99% sure that they have used an algorithm to determine the most high yield content on the mcat and made practice problems off just that. People are getting really good scores just doing uworld and going over all 1800 questions throughly lol. 4.
