I would like to second the suggestion of CFE223. I use it for 223 and it performs well with temperature changes much better than BLC-2. My son tried CFE223 in his .308 rounds for his DPMS and it was SCAREY. I would not recommend CFE223 for .308. We use 26 grns on top of CCI srm primers in Winchester cases.

Pretty young in the reloading game, but I’ve used CFE 223 with a 62 gr FMJ, ranging from 24.5 - 26.9 gr, getting 2586-2934 fps respectively, out of an 18” criterion barrel in an AR15.
