Gmc acadia stability control problems.
I contacted OnStar and they found 3 diagnostic codes: 1) the ABS is not functioning, 2) the Traction Control / Stabilitrak is disabled, and 3) the engine control module is malfunctioning. For #3, they recommended service by the next day. Upon turning off the ignition and restarting, the errors went away.

Yes that is a bit much for a New BCM even is GM charged $600 for one that is another $500 for an hour of labor to program and a half hour to replace it. Any shop with the proper diagnostic tool with programming capabilities could do it. It needs the VIN with all the options on your vehicle.
