May 26, 2013 · While the bypass is active, city water or pumped water will no go through the water heater. You have to reset the bypass valves to normal operation position in order to fill the Hot Water Heater tank. Note that if you turn on the electric heater in the Water Heater before filling the tank, you'll burn out the element.

While preparing to winterize, I noticed 2 white 1/4 turn valves on the ceiling of the pass through storage area on the passenger side of the RV. I put 40 psi of air pressure on the system and proceeded to open up the taps and blow the water out. No issues.
