i've never used blue dye tests because i have heard they can have problems like that. another possibility is that you saw an evaporation line thinking it was positive. if you look through the ff gallery of negative tests you can get better at determining a + from a - test. also, if you only see the line when you tilt the test, that's not a +.JjuneJ. Hi I believe tests become invalid after a certain time due to potential of evaporation therefore as the test today was negative it's probably unlikely. It's a blue dye (the only test they had at the store, but it is an early result test). Thought I saw the faintest shadow within the timeframe, took a pic in case and now it has a clear line. I'm assuming it's an evap line but are they really that definite and blue?

They really are a nightmare and I'd highly recommend people find a good pink line test like a FRER or boots early test instead.
