The stakes that come with the shiftpod are actually supposed to go through the loops but have bent ends to hold the loops down, which is what the idea is with placing the washers in the lag bolts and driving the lag bolts in the ground through the tent loops.

I’d be comfortable with it tied to the Tahoe’s roof rack inside it’s bag. The bag has handles you can loop through. I use NRS cam buckle straps for that kind of rigging. Save the inner plastic bag it is shipped with to keep it out of rain. I’m still trying to figure out if Playa dust or moisture destroys the silver coating.
