Survivor gives you a lot more freedom in combat, but I think the biggest thing, is the fact you can hit 3 zombies at a time rather than just 1. Most people talk about multi hit without knowing the weapon stats. Even with with multi hit on, there is a limited amount of zombies you can hit at once with said weapon. Many weapons are limited to 2, some bigger one its 3 but rarely more unless modded. 2 isn't that much when you are facing a horde of 50zombies.
