The active monitoring does help prolong their life, but the DPFs will get plugged. The CATs are for the most part fairly reliable.Crank the truck up, unplug the pressure sensor on the DPF, wait for the truck to begin to regen, then plug the sensor back up! Mine is at 28.3 hours average regen and around 1150 average miles right now and I have seen both higher and lower depending on the type of driving I have been doing. I don't think it's based on time or miles from what I have monitored over the past year+.
