As the nine speed increases, the primary (one on the engine) should close and the secondary should open. Also, make sure the belt and clutch sheave surfaces are dry. Clutch Problems. Hadn't ran my machine for about a week. Fired it up, backed out of the garage, let off the gas, and the machine keeps slowly moving in reverse. Couldn't get it to shift to neutral without shutting off the engine. Fired it back up and it was hard to shift into high. Also same result, machine would creep forward without any gas.

Need JDG11851 Secondary Clutch Removal Tool. I have a very frustrating situation. I own a 2020 XUV 590M S4 that doesn't shift well. Whether or not the engine is running, the wheels need to be in exactly the right position to shift at all and often I can't find all of the gear positions. The shift cable is very smooth.On our 2011 Gator 855D, one of the two bearing sleeves inside the hub of secondary clutch (on the transaxle side) split and moved outside the hub. I need a new drive clutch. Comet tells me it's a 72C on my 6X4 gator with a kohler liquid cooled engine. 30mm bore on the clutch. the JD part# is AM17754 I would consider a good used clutch if available. I can't rebuild this one because the clutch sheaves are wore out. I assume you haven't contacted a dealer to verify it is no longer available.
