Dayz server reset time.
Restart messages seem to pop up when they want. As a server admin myself. Thanks :), we have set 2 hour restarts: Warning : 2 Hour- 1 Hour - 30 min - 15 min - 10 min - 5 min - 1min. Its just a schedule scripts witch admins can download and take about 10min to configure these messages.

Reset. You just die from a glitch and start running back to get your stuff and right before you get there server reset. You join a 40 person server and the server resets and its impossible to know what spot you are actually standing in so when you hop servers you have to go to a small server to see your spot then going back to a big server.

Find those items in the types.xml and update the lifetime to 999999999 and see if that helps. Came across this because I'm having issues with storage mods.Items that you drop can remain for anything from 1 hour to 8 hours and for one or two specific items that time can be up to 8 days without interaction. A dead body, a dropped item moved from it's spawn location etc last maybe up to 1 hour or server reset whereas a back pack you have left with items in it can remain for up to 8 hours without it …

with the loot system in dayz currently (0.63) afaik there is no "reset loot". loot is persistent - so if you want to reset it you have to reset/delete the persistence files on the server for a fresh start.
