Still took 3 seconds to engage Drive from park. I drove for a few days- which involved some cold engine starts. About 80 miles later- the trans began to shift properly. Almost like it took that mileage and the cold engine starts- to relearn the shifts. This part from GM seems to fix the shift to park issue for all GM vehicles with the same shifter.
