I picked up a Manurhin PP in .22 a few months ago and had never investigated the s/n for production date. It has a s/n of 11077 which makes it a pretty early production. Manurhin PP 10002 - 53841LR 03/54 to 08/85 per D. Marschall's book. I'll bet there are earlier numbers from other Forum members. ~J.

Hi Amanda, welcome to GT! BFAXxxx is a fairly recent issue GLOCK serial number. I have a gen4 G19 FS with serial BFEWxxx from mid 2017. I would estimate your gen3 G22 to be around first half 2017. One other question, do P1 and post WWII P38 frames fall in the same SN sequence? I assume the frames are the same (ignoring proof marks/etc.) and the model number on the slide makes the pistol a P1 or P38. So P1s and P38s with the same date should have very close serial numbers? The reason I ask is I have no idea whether my frame was from a P1 ...

1960 made 10/60 post war commercial P38 alloy frame also called transitional by some since it bridged the gap to the alloy P1. Some say it is a P1 since they are identical even though it has P38 on slide and box. This early version should be missing hex frame pin, but heard that shouldn't be an issue. A fact that really surprises because of the shared serial number range.
