I own and love the Tikka T3/T3X series. However, after seeing numerous threads and videos, it has me wondering if the Ruger American/Predator series is the poor man’s version of the Tikka T3. The Rugers are a lot less expensive but have a very large following.
The T3x Lite’s stock is smooth where it should be and sharp where it needs to be; the pistol grip and forend have an asymmetrical grip pattern (I can’t call it checkering) that affords a positive, yet comfortable hold on the rifle.Mar 21, 2018 · Tikka goes mainstream and markets to hunting crowd. They are one of the heavier options as well. The Tikka design lends it self to exceptional accuracy and they will be about 1 1/2 lb lighter than the Ruger. They have a much better trigger. Tikka's don't have CRF like the Ruger, but have proven to be one of the more rugged and reliable Push Feed designs.

For me, and some others, the cheek weld on Tikkas is way too low and requires a riser or comb of some sort.
