Mnpostman, it is possible your route won't be "favored" by the RRECS system. If you've been paid to drive at 30 miles/hour, but actually are averaging 40, and delivering few parcels that require getting out, you most likely are beating your evaluation and would be paid less under RECCS.

With RRECs, say an apartment complex opens the day after the mini mail count ended. You deliver for the next 6 months with no pay increase, and then on the next mini mail count you bust, and immediately, the route is cut. You never got paid for that 6 months of extra work.
Most routes will lose big time unless they're bursting at the seams with Amazon. Junior regular carriers will be excessed to other offices when their routes have to be dissolved in order to build up the other now sub-standard routes. In other words, a total disaster. 1.

I just watched the RRECS mini mail count survey video and at the beginning it states that RRECS is effective Oct. 8. Is this the official START of the data gathering process? I know the tentative date was back in April but it was delayed until further notice.
