Go to the parking lot and hike 7/10 of a mile OR take a shuttle from the parking lot to an easy 3/10 of a mile hike to the tree. Lots of beautiful scenery and big trees here. Kings Canyon and Sequoia national parks are connected and similar, but not the same. The southwestern section of kings is very similar to sequoia (really, really big trees).
