The panel was being held on only by the 2 screws at the back (under the tail light assembly) and by one screw at the front. That one screw at the front attaches to a spot welded bracket. The 2006 latch assembly fit normally in my 2009 Odyssey.I have a 2007 Odyssey EX-L, about 195k miles. Driver's side slider works well, but the passenger side is very hit or miss.
