I have been using the Spectrum App on Roku since January 2019. The DVR feature has always been less than perfect. You cannot pause live TV unless you are recording the show and have restarted the recording. For example, I record the CBS Mornings news show every day which starts at 7 AM here. I usually start watching in the middle of the show.
