I received a "fixer upper" John Deere 14SB walk-behind mower. I'm trying to rebuild the drive axle and could use confirmation of how it's supposed to work. First picture shows the drive transmission axle removed, along with the L & R rear height adjusters. John Deere 14sb with Kawasaki run problem. I posted this in the homeowner forum but haven't got any responses yet. I picked up this mower cheap ( 10 Bucks) and it will not run once I take it off choke. The choke was a froze up and was stuck on. I cleaned the carb as best I could, cleaned and lubed the choke linkage and I think it works freely now.as it is a 14sb, it has a kawasaki engine on it. when you push the throttle lever all the way forward, check to make sure the choke linkage is closing all the way on the carb. if not, pull the lever back to the fast position and see if 2 holes line up on the plate the cable hooks to. this is the throttle plate. if the holes don't line up, loosen the cable retaining screw and move the cable to ...
