Currently it's an issue if you store cabbages in your food storage they get eaten first*,* instead of say Pottage or Stew. Having villagers eat the highest rating foods (Pottage is food rating 30, cabbage is 4-7 I think) first would solve the problem of needing to move all my cabbages to resource storage just so they can be used for cooking and not eaten raw.
