I have a 1997 Chevy truck with a solid transmission in it, harness and computer as a donor for the swap. I am pretty sure that I will have to get a new chip in the computer and modify the drive shaft.When the gear vendors is in OD the governor & /drive ishaft is operated at lower RPM ,thus a later shift. Confusion between the VRV,,modulator & governor is out of control!!! The 700 r does have a lower first gear and a taller final drive. So your 4.10 might become a 2.90. The GV final drive is .77 while the 700 I think is like .7.
