We bump alot of 445's to 505E's. They both have the same torque rating so you can run the smaller trans. We sold alot of road tractors with the 445 and small trans. Mack would turn on the 505E download ( for around $1000) but would not do the 505M or 505C due to the higher ft lb output.Make sure the def test good. Then run a nox conversion test with a scan tool and make sure it passes. If it does not then run a regen and make sure the outlet nox is dropping below 100. If it is not then make sure the dpf is not passing any soot at all. If that is fine then the scr cat has probably failed.does it smoke bad when it runs? Is the oil level rising? is the coolant level dropping? My first thought would be a bad injector that is over fueling a cylinder. do you have any active or inactive fault codes?

If your DOC is clogged it doesn't matter how new your dpf is, the dpf will not be regened. The DOC is more expensive than the dpf.
