The MCAT covers material that are not pre-requisites for veterinary school; therefore, when the VCAT ended they didn't switch to the MCAT as students would have to take on more of a course load. Also, one of my all time favorite books is Most of My Patients Are Animals by Robert M. Miller, DVM.Undergraduates must have completed at least 2 years of a 4 year pre-veterinary medicine or some other biomedical science program.
