The take profit and stop loss functionality is built on top of the functionality provided by your broker. When TradersPost is calculating your entry order, if you have a take profit or stop loss percentage configured, we will automatically calculate the take profit and stop loss orders and send them to your broker at the same time we send the entry order.
This gets us an alert when Bitcoin moves up by $100 in 10 bars or the EMA rises 10 points in the last 20 bars. To code these alerts we first subtract a data series’ value from its lowest value in the last n bars. We get that latter value with TradingView’s ta.lowest () function (TradingView, n.d.).When using market orders and you are calculating a relative take profit price, TradersPost will fetch a quote from your broker and use the price from the quote as the entry price in order to calculate the take profit limit price since with markets orders, we don't know the price you will be filled at so we have to use the quote price.I use pythonanywhere for my paper testing, more convenient.
